Speaking Lately

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Spoke Friday at the Delaware Valley Herp Society, a small group, but some true field enthusiasts with great love for wildlife. This is the current version of the old Philly Herp Society that so many of America’s great herpetologists have been a part of (and a few smugglers :-)).  Thanks, Billy!

Talking Jersey snakes got me psyched for today’s adventure, a paddle through the NJ Pine Barrens, which was plenty hot but plenty beautiful.  When I got home, I discovered Danny Mendez had just sent me this cool promo for our talk on his call-in radio program next Friday.  Excellent…

I watched a monitor lizard disappear into this hole while traveling in Borneo. I wondered what would happen next… (shot from 12 feet above the lizard, ie, it was a big lizard).
